到底一天要喝多少杯水?
坊間說一天要喝6-8杯水，於是不少病人覺得喝水愈多愈好，結果愈喝愈多問題。
在中醫的觀念裡，水進到身體要肺脾腎的運化，再化為汗或尿液排出身體。現代人的體質多是虛證體質，如果肺脾腎失司，喝進身體的水份無法完全代謝，就會變成無用的水停留在身體內，勉強再喝只會讓停水更多，加重身體的負擔，可以造成的症狀例如有頭暈、胃酸過多、心悸氣短等的症狀會加重。因此許多病人都聽到我叮囑要減少水量，飲水習慣改變後症狀都已得到改善，但透過中藥增強體質更為治本。
當然也不是說少喝水就對身體好，身體不夠水份會發出信號，會有口乾的感覺，所以我們奉行的原則是「渴再喝，不渴則不喝」。每個人需要和身體處理到的水量都不一樣，讓我們更多聆聽身體的需要，建立正確的飲水習慣。
提醒大家，若在短時間出現水分大量流失，例如在炎熱高溫下長時間活動，或從事激烈或長時間運動時，除補充適量的水分來預防脫水及中暑等熱傷害外，別忘了也要補充電解質。
